The typical size of this breed is 25 inches for males and 23 inches for females. The weight is from 65 to 85 pounds for females and 48-70 pounds for females. Their distinctive features are forehead of dome shape and muzzle which is long and square. Another thing to boast about is a long and beautiful tail. Coat is thick of tan or red colours with black spots.

This breed is active and positive. Its curiosity makes this dog good for searching and guardian purposes. They tend to become over protective when defending their family or area.
