This type of dogs isn’t as expensive as some of their parents are. You can find a puppy for as much as $300-$600. It’s a nice price which will get you a healthy and safe dog.
If you see a Morkie any less than $300 be careful because you can get an unhealthy dog.
Sometimes Morkies puppies are over $1,000. They usually have perfect genes and a lot of guarantees.
Morkies behavior is typically cheerful and positive. They feel excited when there are a lot of people around looking at them. They are very loyal and feel attached to an owner. The more you play with this dog the better it is. They are generally friendly with other pets. Nevertheless, they do not like being pulled by children. Homemade food is advisable too. Their diet should include meat, fruits and vegetables. Such foods as grapes, raisins and chocoalte are not recommended.
Morkie Intelligence / Trainability
Are Morkies smart and are Morkies hard to train? These are wide spread questions about them. Well, we can’t say they’re silly but Morkie dogs are stubborn enough which makes them difficult to train. If they do not want to perform a trick hardly can you persuade them. This is why early obedience training is required. Socializing course is helpful too. It will make your dog less aggressive and will teach it not to bark all the time when feeling anxious. Outdoor activities are fine because these dogs love them a lot. Can Morkies swim? They’re not made for such tasks but if they get in a pool they are likely to develop this skill.
Morkies Health Problems
The most widespread problems are the ones with eyes, ears and oral area. Reverse sneezing and collapsed trachea are other health issues. They can also inherit serious diseases from the Yorkie and Maltese parents. Morkie eye problems occur sometimes so you should keep their eyes clean all the time.
Do Morkies Shed?
In fact these dogs shed but not quite often. Some of them shed so little that you may even not notice it. Still you need to brush your dog which will be quite helpful. Some of them shed a bit more but it’s quite manageable.
Are Morkies Hypoallergenic?
Owing to their parents and small shedding amount these dogs are a good choice for people with allergies. They don’t lose to much hair so some pepole with allergies tolerate them. However, there’re no 100% hypoallergenic dogs. So you may still have problems with them.
